This post is in partnership with Entrepreneur. The article below was originally published atEntrepreneur.com. Entrepreneur.com。More and more entrepreneurs are working remotely. They may have an “office” at home, in a co-working space or even at the nearest coffee shop. Fortunately, technology has allowed everyone — even entrepreneurs who commute to a traditional office every day — to benefit from the flexibility of working from home when it’s needed or preferred. Anyone who works from home will tell you that it has its benefits, yet also challenges. When I started my business in 1998, social media did not exist, I had no clients and most of my friends worked in a traditional office setting. After working for a large hotel for nearly six years, I had grown accustomed to being surrounded by people each day. Working from home provided peace and solitude, yet I was lonely. I had no one to interact with except my yellow Labrador. No humans were around for sharing ideas. I worked long hours, many in my pajamas. No one was there to hold me accountable for my work and I had to force myself to rise at a reasonable hour each morning and develop self-discipline. But after a while, I set up a regular routine, joined some networking groups and adopted some best practices. Here are some tips to keep in mind to stay focused on your work throughout the day:经过一段时间之后,我养成了有规律的作息,加入了一些社交组织,并借鉴了一些最佳做法。 Set and keep regular office hours.1. Most people who work from home find they work too much rather than too little. Other remote workers struggle to keep a regular schedule — working a few hours one day and pulling an all-nighter the next. Some interruptions can’t be avoided. Client deadlines may unexpectedly require extra hours. Family obligations can interfere as well, especially if children are home during the day. Do your best to set work hours and stick to them. Then try your best to leave work at the “office” and turn your phone on silent and enjoy the rest of your day. Give yourself some time to recharge so you can be as productive as possible. 2. Plan and structure your workday.2. Structure your workday to maximize efficiency. Take advantage of your body’s natural rhythms and plan your work around your most productive hours. If you know you focus best in the morning, resist the temptation to check email until 10 a.m. or later. A quick review of your calendar when you first start work can set you up for a productive workday. Make a list of your most important tasks before you move on to less urgent business. If possible, shut your office door (if you have one) to signal to others that you’re working and don’t wish to be disturbed. 3. Dress to impress (even if it’s just for your dog).3. As enticing as it is to stay in pajamas all day, this is not the best work habit. The way you dress affects you psychologically. Taking the time to shower, have breakfast, brush the teeth and dress can make someone feel more confident. Maintain a casual (not sloppy) work wardrobe to help you transition smoothly between home and office — even if they’re in the same place. 4. Set aside a designated work area.4. Consistency is an important aspect to working from home. Try to work at the same spot every day. It could be a spare bedroom that you’ve turned into a home office, a desk located in the corner of the living room or even the dining room table. Make sure your workspace functions efficiently for you, your business and your style. Surround yourself with things that inspire you and make you happy including flowers, music and pictures. Make your workspace a place you enjoy going to each day, an area where you can focus and do your best work. 5. Take breaks.5. Schedule time for frequent breaks throughout the day. Rise from your desk, stretch or walk around the house or down the street. Take a lunch break and enjoy a midday meal. If you need a little socializing, go out to lunch with friends or clients. A major advantage to working from home is having flexibility. If fitness is important to you, a quick trip to the gym can reinvigorate you and make for a productive afternoon. 6. Avoid distractions.6. One challenge of working from home is accountability. With no colleagues or partners nearby, it’s easy to become distracted. There are always errands to run and chores at home to do. Do your best to put off household tasks, like laundry and dishes, until you’ve gone “home” for the evening. Stay focused on work throughout the day to maintain consistent productivity. Avoid online distractions as well. Limit the time spent on email, social media and websites unrelated to work. Set a timer on your phone or computer if necessary. Don’t waste time or money on meetings or activities that are counterproductive to your success. /201502/360378

The Ram#39;s lack of tact and hot temper is just too devastating for your sensitive and insecure nature. CANCER and TAURUS:巨蟹-金牛:The Bull is one of your best partners. You are both homebodies who appreciate good food, good quality and thrift. You can keep each other quite happy. Truly an enduring relationship. CANCER and GEMINI:巨蟹-双子:The Twins play too many mind games for your soft and innocent approach to life. Gemini#39;s flirtatious free-spirited nature is just too hurtful for you to have to deal with. CANCER and CANCER:巨蟹-巨蟹:Together you are far too negative for this union to work. Emotional problems will exist throughout the entire relationship. Neither one of you has the ability to see the positive side to the relationship. CANCER and LEO:巨蟹-狮子:The Lion needs to be the center of attention; therefore, you will often feel quite neglected in this relationship. You have a tendency to nag, and that will drive a Leo mate on to greener pastures. This partnership lacks excitement, to say the least. However, that doesn#39;t usually matter to either you or your mate. Security and the home are much more important to both you and the practical Virgoan. CANCER and LIBRA:巨蟹-天秤:Your mood swings are far too upsetting for the Scales. Libra needs harmony and a variety of entertainment, which really isn#39;t your style or your intent. You create melodrama at an emotional level and would prefer to stay at home where it#39;s safe and secure. CANCER and SCORPIO:巨蟹-天蝎:You are both too possessive. That can and usually does lead to problems at some time. As long as you deal with these issues promptly, you can have a happy, satisfying and loving union. CANCER and SITTARIUS:巨蟹-射手:You don#39;t like to take risks, and Sagittarians thrive on chance. If you can put up with their workaholic ways you can rest assured that you will be well-taken care of financially. CANCER and AQUARIUS:巨蟹-水瓶:You are far too sensitive for the Water-bearer#39;s aloofness. Aquarians cannot tolerate your need to cling to them. CANCER and PISCES:巨蟹-双鱼:You and the Fish are probably the two most sensitive signs of the zodiac. Although you can comprehend one another, you can also play emotional games and hurt each other. This connection can work if you communicate openly and honestly. /201507/387564

A first date falls into two categories: following up on an introduction, or pursuing personal instincts when asking out someone of your choosing. No matter which approach is taken, first dates can be stressful for both parties. It is normal to be a little nervous as one always wants to put their best foot forward and make a good first impression. The question commonly asked is how to go about planning a date that says ;I like you; and ;I want to get to know you;. In order for your level of interest to be conveyed it is important to show that effort and thought went into setting the right tone for your time spent together。 Begin the process with a phone call. As old school as it may sound, texts, tweets or emails just don#39;t cut it as a way to ask someone out. Direct communication where conversation can flow back and forth is still king。 Pick a location where you can talk without screaming. Hip and cool is fine, crazy loud with a thumping sound track is a no-no. The restaurant#39;s atmosphere and people watching are great sources for dialog. Observations made can be very revealing about each other。 Don#39;t pick a see and be seen place. The focus should be on the two of you without the interruptions of having to interface with the people you know in the room. Plus no reason to inform your immediate universe what you are up to。 Movies are a perfect third or forth date idea as they provide food for thought later in the evening. As far as first dates go, stick to plans that allow you to get to know one another rather than sitting in the dark munching on popcorn。 Common hobbies and shared interests are great for couples to engage in, but not on a first date. As your initial get together, hiking, biking, sky diving may not be an ideal way to connect. No need to show them your sweated up look right away. Making small talk while gripping your knees and panting is not sexy。 Coffee: Not the best idea for an initial meeting. A cup of Joe says ;I don#39;t want to invest too much money or time with you;. ;I am in it for quick recon;. Although coffee houses can be quaint and atmospheric, they tend to be viewed as in between activities, not the main event of the day or evening。 Lunch: A mid day meal can be seen as a one hour, more stilted, business like encounter rather than a date. On the other hand, a weekend picnic in a park, sitting on a blanket with savory threats is romantic。 Drinks: Clinking glasses is festive and shows a commitment of time and provides an upbeat vibe. What is appealing about drinks as a first date is that it leaves the door open for dinner. If things are going well it is easy to expand on your evening。 Dinner: This demonstrates a willingness to spend an extended period of time with someone. Nothing expresses interest more than a two hour meal, especially on a Saturday night。 The exciting part about a first date is that if it moves in the right direction, you are paving the way for second and third get togethers. When saying good night, assuming all went well, let it be known and take the initiative to plan another outing, leaving you both wanting more and giving each other something to look forward to.。。 /201507/386187

They can mark reunions with family, intimate moments with your beloved, and good times shared with friends. When it comes to taking selfies, knowing the right way to utilize the light, finding the best angle, capturing an outstanding background, and proper editing can directly affect the quality of your final product. This guide will lead you to taking some of the best selfies you’ve ever seen. The use of light is crucial to improving image quality in professional photography. This also applies to the world of selfies. Face the light: Lights can dispel shadows and create soft features on your face, so always try to turn your face toward the main light source. Move your body: If you want to be creative, play with light angles by turning your body, but make sure the photo is properly exposed and your face is lit from the front or the side. Additionally, avoid taking selfies against the main light source or with overhead lighting. Find natural light: Try to use natural light; sunlight at sunset and sunrise possesses a warmth that makes you look like you’re glowing. Strike a pose摆好姿势When taking selfies, angles do matter. But showing people your confidence and genuine smile can be more significant. Hold the camera away: Hold the camera away from your face, and try to take photos both horizontally and vertically; If not, your face might look bigger than usual due to lens distortion. Universal selfie angle: Ideally, the universal selfie angle is 45 degrees above your head. But you should study your face at different angles because finding your best angle requires you having seen all of them. Be creative: Sometimes silly selfies that show how you honestly are can be entertaining. Manage the background布置背景One problem with selfies is that most have distracting backgrounds. Without a doubt, you are the most important element in the selfie, but it would be imprudent to ignore what’s behind you. Clean up the background: Try to declutter the background by taking selfies outdoors or in spacious areas. Show fun things: Document yourself engaging in interesting activities — hiking with family members, visiting landmarks, or working out with friends. Hold tight: You can even hold the camera tightly with two hands to snap selfies. Make sure your face and the background are not blurry. You can always do more to show others your best side, and there are ways to perfect your selfies to attract more eyeballs. Crop artistically: Photojournalism professors often advise students crop photos ruthlessly because distracting backgrounds don’t help in telling stories. In selfies, you do not necessarily need to tell people stories, but you can definitely make the photo appealing by getting rid of your outstretched arm or a background that’s too busy. Apps will help: Download some photo apps that allow you to adjust the lighting and contrast. Some apps also offer useful filters, which will be able to change your skin tone and eliminate pimples on your face. /201502/359380A homeless man is fast becoming an internet sensation with his blog of life on the streets of Moscow, it#39;s reported. Yevgeny Yakut moved to the Russian capital in search of a better life, but soon found himself one of the many homeless people in a city known for its housing shortage and high cost of living. South Korea has closed schools and canceled some public events over concerns about a new viral outbreak. Since April, a new disease there has sickened at least 87 people, killing six. All contracted what#39;s called Middle East respiratory syndrome, or MERS. MERS。The disease can resemble a cold or flu. For instance, its symptoms may include sneezing, diarrhea and vomiting. But in severe cases, people may develop pneumonia or kidney failure. To date, health officials in South Korea have quarantined more than 2,500 people. All had been in contact with the sick people. A concern was that the large, but limited outbreak could mushroom into a pandemic - a global sp. In fact, the virus seems to sp mostly inside of hospitals or among family members. Explainer: What is a virus? The World Health Organization is based in Geneva, Switzerland. Officials there say that standard infection-control measures should end the outbreak. But people in South Korea remain frightened. And that#39;s with good reason. Since the disease first emerged in 2012, at least 1,179 people have been sickened. Of these, up to four in every 10 have died. In South Korea, now, many people wear surgical masks whenever they go out in public. /201506/380659Between babymoons and business trips, more and more women are traveling during their pregnancies. At least that’s the anecdotal evidence that Jan Rydfors, an obstetrician-gynecologist and a co-founder of the app Pregnancy Companion, has gathered from his patients. Not the most scientific survey, he would be the first to admit, but nevertheless telling. “I’ve done this over 20 years,” Dr. Rydfors said, “and I do think women feel much more that being pregnant is a healthy state.” He added, “They tend to listen more to their bodies than to dogma, so there’s much more traveling.” (To be done, of course, under the guidance of your doctor.) Recently Dr. Rydfors gave travel tips for pregnant women, some of which came in handy during trips he took with his expectant wife before the birth of their first daughter. Following are edited excerpts of the conversation. Q. Any precautions women should take before their trips? Something I recommend to all of my patients: Get a copy of your prenatal chart and a letter from your O.B. clearing you for travel, with your due date. In case there are any medical problems, doctors would have an idea of how the pregnancy has been going. Your hotel or the American Embassy should have a list of doctors that are recommended, and most medical professionals anywhere understand basic English. I’d also recommend getting a flu shot because on a plane you’re around a lot more people, you’re touching a lot of surfaces, you’re more prone to get an infection. Keep in mind it takes two weeks for the flu shot to really start working. Anything to pack? It’s not a bad idea before you go to ask your doctor for a prescription of azithromycin, an antibiotic for travel diarrhea that’s safe for pregnant women, and an over-the-counter antidiarrheal medication like Imodium to take along with you. With travel diarrhea, it’s more the loss of liquid than the infection that’s worrying. If you become too dehydrated, it can affect amniotic fluid and blood flow to the baby. If you have a lot of diarrhea, pure coconut water — it has a little sugar and a lot of electrolytes — is a great way to rehydrate. My wife had terrible morning sickness, and it did get worse during the travel partly because a lack of sleep makes you a little more nauseous. She was aly taking the anti-nausea medication Scopolamine, so she took a little more to max out her dosage. You can ask your O.B. about the Scopolamine patches behind your ear, which are very good and safe to use. Any tips for the plane? When you’re pregnant, you tend to sweat more, pee more and drink a little less because you’re nauseous. It’s easy to get dehydrated in a plane, especially because it’s very dry. Drink as much as possible. Also, your clotting factors are elevated from the pregnancy hormones; that along with being dehydrated, your blood becomes more viscous, more prone to blood clots. Walk up and down the aisle at least once every hour to make sure blood is circulating. To help with swelling, wear loosefitting shoes and, in the last trimester, maybe some support hose. What’s the latest you recommend pregnant women to travel? Term is 37 weeks, so the very, very latest, I’d say, is 36 weeks. A lot of airlines use that cutoff, some earlier, so make sure you double check. If it’s a long flight, I usually recommend 32 to 34 weeks. Toward the end, you swell up so much, and it’s uncomfortable if you’re on a plane. /201412/345434

Bookies reckon Kate Middleton#39;s baby will be a girl called Alice, but our expert says it#39;s definitely a boy. The Duchess of Cambridge hasn#39;t been seen in days and her mum Carole Middleton has aly moved in to give a helping hand. If that wasn#39;t enough evidence for you, the most dedicated Royal baby fanatics are aly camped outside the Lindo Wing AND people are Tweeting that Kate is in labour. We all know Twitter is never wrong... 我们都知道推特上说的事儿向来不会错的……So while Kate is getting y to push, bookies across the country are aly in a frenzy over what they Royal baby will be, with overwhelming odds on a certain sex and name. #39;The name Alice now accounts for over a third of all wagers we have taken on the Royal Baby name,#39; said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. #39;This gamble has rumbled on for quite some time now and we are all but convinced that if the baby is a girl, she will be called Alice.#39;“在所有的名字预测中,有超过三分之一的押注认为皇室宝宝叫爱丽丝的可能性最大,” 英国公司的发言人乔·克里利说道。 In fact the bookies are now taking bets of 4/6 that it will be a girl and 11/10 a boy, with 6/4 odds that the little girl will be named Alice. 6/4。However, when we consulted psychic-to-the-stars Sally Morgan - who used to give Prince William#39;s mother, Princess Diana ings, she told us something quite different. When we asked Sally what the future holds for Kate Middleton and Prince William, she said: ‘There will be three children now most definitely. ‘She#39;ll have two boys and then a girl. I think once the second son is born there will be a three or four year period before the third child.#39;“她将会有两个儿子和一个女儿。 Ooohhh, so there you have it, Sally has spoken and says that baby number two will be a boy and that we#39;ll have to wait another three or four years for a princess. And while Sally couldn#39;t give us any details of baby names, here is what the bookies are saying the baby is likely to be called, with Arthur as a frontrunner for a boy. Name of the baby: 6/4 Alice; 5/1 Elizabeth; 112/2 Charlotte; 12/1 Victoria; 14/1 Alexandra; 14/1 Arthur; 14/1 James; 16/1 Diana; 20/1 Henry; 20/1 Richard; 256/1 Alexander; 25/1 Catherine; 25/1 Frances; 25/1 Mary; 25/1 Phillip. /201504/371842。

A marathon in the midnight sunshine午夜日光下的马拉松A look of horror comes across friends’ faces when I tell them the grand plan for my second marathon. Fired up with enthusiasm after triumphantly collapsing over the Virgin London Marathon finish line in April, I was determined not to kick my running shoes off and leave them gathering dust for the rest of eternity, so signed up for another one happening two months later. In the Arctic. Now, firstly, I should make it clear that I’m not a natural runner. While I feel like a gazelle sprinting gracefully through the streets of London, when I catch my reflection I am hunched like Quasimodo, dragging my feet through puddles and panting a lot. But what I lack in grace and ability I more than make up for in enthusiasm and nervous energy, which is what I was hoping would pull me through as I stepped off the plane in the Norwegian city of Troms#248; two weeks ago for their annual Midnight Sun Marathon. It’s the middle of the night. The sun is shining. There are more than 4,000 runners from 56 countries – 300 from the UK, but others from as far afield as New Zealand, Brazil and China – signed up for either a 10K, a half marathon, or the full 26.2 miles, and making a Lycra-clad invasion on the city whose position 200 miles north of the Arctic circle means the sun doesn’t set for a nine-week stretch during the summer. Most of the city is located on the island of Troms#248;ya, surrounded by calm waters and spectacularly rugged snow-topped mountains, which – thankfully – we’ll be avoiding by following a route that sticks close to the water. But the scenery and terrain is aly marking out Troms#248; as something of a sports haven, with the Polar Night Half Marathon being held in January and the Sky Race Ultra Marathon in August. /201507/385532
